Calyx Point Software Works on Dedicated Servers

Running Calyx Point in conjunction with Calyx PointCentral (vs. the standalone Point client on a local machine) has many advantages. A secure connection can be established from any location, meaning that employees
can access client accounts from locations outside the office. Once changes are made to a file, they
are saved to the PointCentral server, and removed from the user’s local machine, so that your entire
company can stay up-to-date on the file’s latest developments.

PointCentral requires a dedicated application server in order to operate. This server can function
in a self-hosted or offsite hosted model. An offsite hosted solution provides a variety of business
advantages, including better security, fixed monthly technology costs and enhanced support.
